Today on our Heavy Rotation playlist, is a dope up and coming artist who resides in Atlanta, but is a Brooklyn native and goes by the name Y. Teezy. As you know we always support great talent in our city and its only right that he gets introduced through us. His rap skills are definitely on point which makes him sound like a veteran in the game already. Here’s “Suave” ft. Tay Da Savage flowing over 8 ball and MJG’s “shonuff”, you remember this one right? Also added is the track “sunshine”, one to ride too. Just dont forget where you heard of this young man first! Look out for his new mixtape Teez Alive 3.
The sale is expected to close later this quarter, and will bring the 8-person staff of Instagram to the social network.
“For years, we’ve
focused on building the best experience for sharing photos with your
friends and family,” Zuckerberg said in the post. “Now, we’ll be able to
work even more closely with the Instagram team to also offer the best
experiences for sharing beautiful mobile photos with people based on
your interests.”
Zuckerberg went
on to say that the company will be building on Instagram’s strengths and
features and growing the app independently rather than “just trying to
integrate everything into Facebook.”
Facebook plans on
keeping features within the app that allow photos to be published on
other social networks, and the ability to have followers and follow
people who are not necessarily your Facebook friends.
“We will try to
learn from Instagram’s experience to build similar features into our
other products,” Zuckerberg said. “At the same time, we will try to help
Instagram continue to grow by using Facebook’s strong engineering team
and infrastructure.”
Instagram launched its iOS app in October 2010, and came to Android for the first time last week.
This is the first
time Facebook has acquired a company or product with so many users. “We
don’t plan on doing many more of these, if any at all.” Zuckerberg
said. “But providing the best photo sharing experience is one reason why
so many people love Facebook and we knew it would be worth bringing
these two companies together.”
What do you think
this means for the photo-sharing app — and how will it boost the social
network? Let us know your thoughts in the comments
It was a great month of March for Mr.Muthafuckin’ eXquire, he announced that he has taken his talents over to Universal Records, one of the biggest record labels has signed one of the rawest out. Just when you thought the rap game was going too commercial. He ripped this year’s SXSW festival and he has also killed some live freestyles for Pitchfork and Tony Touch. The Selector freestyle he put on for Pitchfork involved him being in a place that he loved and someone throwing random words at him while 2 strippers dropped it low in front of him. He also spit something crazy for Tony Touch to a 50 Cent instrumental, these opportunities have gave eXquire a chance to prove his true skills and the people now know the real deal.
This past weekend some of my homies over at Sucker Punch took a trip to Lone Star Hitters Boxing Club in Katy. They sponsored an event hosted by the club and although it was like an oven in there, it was good to see the amount of volunteers and supporters that came out for this event. It was very enlightening to witness young talented amateur fighters doing something really productive, beating the hell out of each other LEGALLY, not the type of madness that you might find on worldstar hip hop of course! With good sportsmanship afterwards. I hope that by them sponsoring and doing community outreach projects like this, more people are able to relate and support the brand and recognize that they're are more than just a clothing brand/store. Big S/O to David Donis for showing me some love and S/O to DJ Big Greg who put me on to the event and got me in free of charge. Peep the flicks.

After hearing the news of the devastating typhoon that hit Japan and other parts of eastern asia early this month, the good folks over at Stackwell Society, approached the benefit program from Houston called “H stands for HELP.” Along with other benefits that HSFH is already involved with, we decided to HELP by designing a shirt that promotes strength, unity, and willingness to HELP.
Definition of Design: The Koi fish represents the Japanese people. The red dot represents Japan as a wounded country during these harsh times. The STACKWELL box logo doubles as a band aid expressing our willingness to HELP heal, along with a message to Japan to “STAY STRONG.” The rays are gray, for now, to relay a message that the sun will rise again. The Japanese characters translate to “HOPE.
Proceeds will go to American Red Cross - Japan

unreleased and new tracks from a slew of talented artists like Dom Kennedy, Casey Veggies, Brandun Deshay, Corner Boy P, Mike G, Tyler The Creator, Fiend and much more. This young brand has much hip-hop influence, the dope music definitely reflects on their designs.
